December!

December has been great. We had two awesome weekends in the Keys with my family (the weekend before Christmas and Christmas Eve to Christmas day).

The first weekend we went to give my parents a nice dinner from the "kids" (Ash, Bran and me). We got to my parents house on Friday around noon and got all the dogs and bags packed into the car which was a bit of a mission since it was raining. Then we drove to the Keys and decided to go to a movie. We saw the Blind Side which was amazing! It is officially my new favorite movie. Then we ran to the car in the pouring ran and flooded streets and headed to dinner at Encore, Mom and Dad's favorite restaurant. It was fun, we sat at the piano table and played moraca's along with the piano guy. Then we went home.
The next day Ash woke Bran and I up to come see three manatees at our dock! It was so cool. Of all the years I have gone to the Keys I have yet to see manatees close up like that. I saw them at a dock once when I was younger but didn't get to get close. We used the hose to "rub" their bellies. It was a Mom and her two babies. It was so amazing to see. They are such beautiful animals. So gentle and friendly.
Then after we got dressed we went to a store Ashley went to when she was younger and it was really cute then to another store that had a bunch of flags and things flying around outside. Branden and I were on a mission to get an ornament since this was our first Christmas married and we were spending it in the Keys. We found it at that store and it is a Santa riding a dolphin. It is really funny. Then we went home and poor Mom still didn't feel good but we went to dinner in hopes she would feel a big better. We are at Bayside Cafe which overlooks the Bay and it was cold so luckily they had the glass doors shut. The food was yummy but Mom was still sick so we had to go home. Then we watched a movie outside on the side of the house and Dave and Diana came over. We watched the Proposal but didn't actually watch much of it. It was more of a talking session. Then we went to bed and headed home the next day. It was a nice trip. Everyone got along and it was just relaxing.
Then we went their for Christmas Eve and Dustin and his family came down and so did our roommate Kelly. We did the game where everyone brings something (we just did gift cards) and then you pick one and then someone else can steal it. That was pretty fun and then we all just hung out and talked for awhile. Mom and Dad got us money for a honeymoon! We were very excited and grateful. We aren't sure if we will use it right away since we are going to North Carolina in March and then Michigan in July. I really want to go on a cruise so we will see. Maybe we will go on a short one.
Then Christmas day Branden and I came home and did our own little Christmas together which was really nice. I got him a Wii look alike lol and he got me a hammock, which I have always wanted! I love it. Then we got eachother a bunch of other little things. After that we got changed and went to dinner at Coco Beach at the Oasis and saw Avatar in 3D. It was pretty good except the middle was slow.
Not to much else has been going on except Anna came down and it's been awesome seeing her. I love hanging out with her. We always have a good time together. I will post pictures ASAP.

Start of the Holiday's!

Thanksgiving is gone and Christmas will be here before you know it. I love this time of year but then again who doesn't? We have already decorated our first Christmas tree together and it looks great. We still need a tree topper though. It was a fun night when we decorated. We first went to Petco and brought the dogs to the store with us and bought their Christmas presents. Then we came home and baked cookies, watched a funny Christmas movie and decorated the tree together. Just us. It was great.

Thanksgiving was nice. We went to my Mom's and she cooked and my cousin's and uncle came over as well as my sister and two of our friends. The best part was throwing the football around with my Dad and Branden.

On to some Holiday Savings! Right now and only today JCPenny online is selling a game system like Wii for only $8.99, originally $89.99. I went ahead and ordered it, I figured if it isn't the greatest then it was only $8.99 but it got pretty great reviews so I am looking forward to getting it and wrapping it up for Branden for Christmas. It is only for today so go order it! CLICK HERE!

New Moon!

Last night I actually went and saw New Moon. It was really good. I am not a hardcore Twilight fan so I haven't read any books. I hated the first movie as well but I could tell the second was more my speed. It wasn't exactly a love story like the first. It was more action packed and I like that more then the slow pace the first one took.

Overall I would see it again, not right away, but when it comes out on DVD I would rent it.

We got our Christmas Cards!

I am so excited. I went outside to go to my Mom's and a package was sitting there and it was for me! It is our Christmas cards that we got free! They turned out great and the picture is on them which I was worried about.

Another cool freebie I found was 2 free issues of Family Circle. Just fill out your information and you get the issues for March and April 2010.

Free Calender

I just found a link to a free 2010 Calendar from Oriental Trading. You can get it HERE.
You don't have to pay for shipping either!

Free Gingerbread Man Body Wash!

Today I found an application on Facebook called Philosophy: Share Magic and if you become a fan and then go to the application button you can get a free Gingerbread Man Body Wash. It should arrive in 2-3 weeks so right before the holidays! Can't wait to get it in the mail.

Yay for FREEBIES!

I am so excited about the holidays coming up. So far we were able to get two ornaments from Kodak free, we only had to pay shipping with the $15 gift give away. We are going to give them to our Mom's. We used one of our wedding pictures and it looks pretty good and it is two sided which I didn't realize when I ordered it.

We also ordered 50 Christmas Cards, also with a picture from our wedding and will send those out to our families. The info. is HERE. I can not wait to see what they look like. I hope they turn out alright because whenever I went to add to my cart it said images were missing so I hope we don't get Christmas cards with a missing photo.

The other day we got our free address labels in the mail from Vista Print. All you have to do is pay for shipping which was around $3. We personalized them and everything. I found them in the Holiday section HERE.

I am hoping to find more deals for Christmas.

We did go to Target today and saw the Memories games on sale for $5 as well as Chutes and Ladders and Candy Land. We might go back and get those for our nieces and nephews but we aren't sure yet. I loved those games when I was little though.

We are back!

We made it! We made it home from Michigan in one piece and had the BEST time! I loved it there. I can't even express how much I loved it there.

We got there and the trees were beautiful. Fall was in full swing there. I wish Florida was like that. It makes me so much more motivated to get done with school and get out of here.

Branden grew up in such a cute town. It overlooks Lake Huran and is just gorgeous there in the Fall. I am sure in the winter it is no picnic but Fall is amazing. It was cold...very cold but I loved every minute of the trip.

I will post more tomorrow because we just spent a total of about 13 hours traveling and waiting around in airports today.

Michigan or Bust!

Tomorrow we leave for Michigan! This is my first time going there. It is kind of neat because that is where my Grandpa was born.

We leave super early in the morning, which is always kind of nice and not so nice all at the same time. I hate not getting enough sleep when I have to travel but I would rather travel early then later in the day.

Once we get there we have a 5 hour drive just to get to Rogers City, where Branden is originally from.

Nicole is getting married on Saturday so that should be fun. I hope there is a lots of dancing!

Halloween Horror Nights 2009

Last night was a great night. My Dad bought the family tickets to Halloween Horror Nights. It was so much fun.

To say the least I was terrified...basically freaking out before I even got into the park.

We got there early, around 6:30, so it was still light out and the first scare zone we went through wasn't to scary. I just acted like I wasn't scared and would look at the people so they thought I wasn't an easy scare and made it through.

We went into five haunted houses, Wolfeman, Dracula, Saw, Chucky and Frankenstein. My favorite was Saw since I have seen almost all the movies but the scariest was Dracula.

I loved it and went into all the haunted houses even though I was terrified. I think I said I wasn't going to go into any of the houses and right before each and yet I still got the courage to do it. I was very proud of myself.

Bran and I really enjoyed it. It was also nice not having to drive since Dad drove Mom, Ash and us there. It was like being a kid again. We used to take these trips all the time as a kid and haven't in a long time. It was great even though it was only one night.

We are back to reality today.

Tomorrow is Jason's wedding!

Double Coupon Days!

Tonight when Branden got home I told him we had to go to K-Mart for their double coupon event. I was super excited. I grabbed the coupons I figured I could use and off we went. The disappointing part was the mascara I wanted wasn't available. I think everyone had the same idea on that one. It would have been free. Overall with coupons and store savings we saved $30! I also got 2 boxes of my favorite Wheat Thins! We got dog treats for the boys and dog food. I got Clean and Clear face lotion and tooth paste and we got a few other items. Overall we didn't get a lot considering what the price would have been but I have to return the mascara I did get since it was $15! Insane. We meant to check the price and never did.

Monday Gratitude!

I saw this on someone else's blog and thought it was such a great way to start the week.

Today I am thankful for...

1. My healthy doggies, one is looking out the window softly huffing at what is outside and my little peanut is sleeping in his bed.

2. My husband who is working to support us right now. I am so grateful that he has a job in this economy.

3. The mini-vacation we are going on on Thursday to Halloween Horror Nights, mine and Branden's first time!

4. My parents who are giving our family this mini-vacation.

5. Our house full of food when there are so many who can not afford to eat.

6. My computer, which entertains me throughout the day.

7. My new roommate who is a breeze to live with and a great new friend.

8. My other roommate, an older friend whom I love to death!

9. My back not hurting like it did the past two days.

10. For waking up today, everyday is a gift from God!

FOCUS!

I have my first test of the semester on Monday. I wish I wasn't such a procrastinator. I am terrible. I wait till the last minute and then I get distracted.

I need to focus! It's an interesting topic but I just end up not wanting to get it done. AHHHH I need better study habits. I promise I am going to do better with the next test.

I didn't get my book till Friday so that's another reason why I am so behind. I should have started at the beginning of the semester reading a little here and there but noooo I decide to wait till the last minute to even get the book.

Ok I am off to study...or not...wait...ahhhh!
